Treatment to Grow Lashes Longer

Longer, Fuller, Darker Lashes with Latisse Dr. Haber offers his patients the new and exciting drug Latisse®, the first and only prescription treatment approved by the FDA for inadequate eyelashes, growing them longer, fuller and darker. It's a once-a-day treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes. Patients in a clinical trial saw results in as few as 8 weeks with full results after 12 to 16 weeks.

Grow Longer Eyelashes

How Latisse is different from other eyelash growth  products

Only Latisse has been approved by the FDA as a prescription treatment to grow eyelashes in people with inadequate or not enough eyelashes.

How does it work?

Latisse is believed to prolong the anagen (active growth) phase.1 The exact way it works is unknown.

How do patients apply the product?

Latisse should be applied every night using only the accompanying sterile applicators. Start by ensuring your face is clean, all makeup is removed, and contact lenses removed (if applicable). Then carefully place one drop of Latisse solution on the disposable sterile applicator and brush cautiously along the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes. If any Latisse solution gets into the eye proper, it will not cause harm. The eye should not be rinsed. Don't apply to the lower eyelash line. Any excess solution outside the upper eyelid margin should be blotted with a tissue or other absorbent material.

How to handle the bottle and applicators

The Latisse bottle must be maintained intact and to avoid allowing the tip of the bottle or applicator to contact surrounding structures, fingers, or any other unintended surface in order to avoid contamination of the bottle or applicator by common bacteria known to cause ocular infections. Only use the applicator supplied with the product once and then discard since reuse could result in using a contaminated applicator. Serious infections may result from using contaminated solutions or applicators.

How soon you can expect results

Latisse solution works gradually. While you may start seeing longer lashes after 4 weeks, to reach maximum fullness and darkness, you must use Latisse every day for 16 weeks. You should not reduce or stop daily application of Latisse when you first notice results, as you have yet to achieve full, dramatic effects. After 16 weeks, you should talk to Dr. Haber about ongoing use. Individual results may vary.

What if you stop using Latisse

Your lashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.

Can I continue to use mascara while using Latisse

Yes, you can use mascara in addition to Latisse solution.

6 Tips to Help Get the Most From Latisse

  1. Add LATISSE® to your existing routine. Such as after brushing your teeth or removing your make-up.
  2. Always use the FDA-approved sterile applicators
Do not apply in the eye
Do not apply to the lower lid because excess hair growth outside the treatment area may occur
Don't allow the tip of the bottle or applicator to touch outside the eyelid, fingers, or other unintended surfaces in order to avoid contamination
  3. If you wear contact lenses, make sure you remove them prior to application; they may be reinserted after 15 minutes
  4. Be patient
  5. Remember growth is gradual. Continue with the nightly routine and don't overuse.
  6. Don't try to catch up If you miss a night, there's no need to apply more to catch up. Simply apply Latisse the next evening and stay on schedule.
